Shipping & Returns


Shipping
Shipping costs vary depending on the size of the order and the city to which it will be delivered. You will have the opportunity to review your shipping costs before you submit your order. Orders over $199 within the Continental US are always eligible for free Ground shipping.

Excluding wedding gowns, our non-personalized items will usually ship 1 to 3 business days after you place your order, but may sometimes take longer. Personalized items will usually ship within 4 to 5 business days. All our wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses and prom dresses are custom made to order and can take up to 4 to 6 weeks for delivery.

Please keep in mind that, while we are located in New Jersey, some of our items will ship from warehouses in other parts of the country. If you have ordered more than one item it is possible that they will come in multiple shipments.

Although we offer expedited shipping options, please be aware that this affects transit time only. It will not speed up our normal order processing time, so please plan accordingly. Additionally, shipping times always begin the day after the order leaves our warehouse. For example, a 2-day order shipped on Thursday will arrive Monday rather than Saturday.

Due to the time sensitive nature of weddings, MyGowns.com provides the option of specifying a requested delivery date during checkout. We will make every effort to have your order delivered by this date, but we cannot make any delivery guarantees. It is the customers responsibility to provide enough time for standard order processing and delivery. MyGowns will not be held responsible for orders that are delivered after the requested date if it has been processed within our standard time frame.

MyGowns.com utilizes warehouses throughout the country. Because of this, if you ordered more than one item, it is possible that you may receive multiple shipments. You will not pay multiple shipping charges.

We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes. All orders will be shipped UPS or USPS unless otherwise specified.

UPS guarantees the day of delivery for every ground package you ship to any commercial address in the contiguous 48 states. Delivery dates on shipments to residential addresses are NOT guaranteed. Most orders typically take 2-3 days to process (execept Saturdays, Sundays and holidays), but at times, some items may take longer. Personalized items typically take 5 business days to process. Quoted delivery times are stated in business days and are in addition to order processing times. Although we make every effort to have orders shipped in a timely fashion, MyGowns.com cannot guarantee any delivery or shipment dates. Please e-mail us to find out if the product you are interested is currently in stock.

Orders to be shipped outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, duties, or clearance fees that are specific to your country. MyGowns.com has no control over what the charges may be and cannot influence the amount chargeable. Any charges will be the customer's liability and should be considered before making a purchase.

We do NOT charge your credit card until after your order has entered the shipping process. Despite our best efforts, a small number of the items in our website may be mispriced. If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation.



Returns
If MyGowns.com is notified by email within 15 calendar days of receiving your merchandise (excluding bras, bustiers, control slips, and dresses/gowns), refunds will be gladly given on items that are unworn, undamaged, and unsoiled only. Items may not be exchanged or returned for any reason if MyGowns.com is not notified within 15 days of receipt of the merchandise. Returned items must have the original tags in place and be returned in the original packaging, unused and in the same condition it was received. Authorized returns must also be shipped back within 5 calendar days of receiving a Return Authorization number. MyGowns.com reserves the right to charge a minimum 15% restocking fee if an item is not returned in the original packaging, or is not returned in a timely manner. Dresses, bras and control slips are not returnable or exchangeable. Should you wish to return an item, you must request a Return Authorization number by emailing us at info@mygowns.com. Return Authorization numbers will not be given over the phone.

If you know you will require more than 15 days to determine if the item works for you (for instance, if you order a petticoat intended to be tried on during a dress fitting that may be several weeks away), please email us beforehand as we may be flexible on a case-by-case basis.

Should the item received be incorrect, or damaged in any way, simply email us at info@mygowns.com. We will issue a Return Authorization number and will replace the damaged/incorrect item at no charge. When placing a custom order, be sure that all information is accurate, as a custom order may not be returned unless it has been shipped incorrectly. Petticoats in colors other than White are considered custom orders.

Please include a description of the reason for your return. Refunds or exchanges will not be given without a Return Authorization number or if the merchandise has been used or soiled. Returns received without a Return Authorization Number or not in its original condition will be refused and there will be a minimum of $10.00 in shipping and handling charges for the item to be returned to the customer. If MyGowns.com chooses to accept an unauthorized return, a minimum 15% restocking fee will be charged. You must request a Return Authorization number no later than 15 calendar days after your merchandise is received.

My Gowns will reimburse ground or parcel post charges on merchandise returned within 15 days that was shipped to you in error or defective upon arrival. We can not accept any parcels freight collect or COD. We reserve the right not to reimburse handling fees, packing fees, and shipping fees of retail outlets above published shipping rates. Shipping fees on returns are not refunded. Outbound shipping charges, as calculated by the MyGowns.com shipping cart calculator, will be deducted from return credits for orders that received free shipping. Shipping and handling will be charged for exchanges.

Any credit card purchases on merchandise returned that qualifies for a refund will entitle the purchaser to a credit issue to the same card account that was charged in the original purchase.

WEDDING / BRIDESMAID / PROM DRESS RETURN OR EXCHANGE INFORMATION
All our dresses are made to order, so we cannot accept any returns, exchanges or issue refunds on wedding gowns, bridesmaids or prom dresses. Although at times we may offer suggestions, it is ultimately the customer’s responsibility to order the right size, color, style and to view the photos/descriptions accordingly.

Wedding and bridesmaid dress orders will be charged at the time the order is placed. Orders may only be canceled within 24 hours from the time it was placed and may be subject to a 50% cancellation fee if production has begun.
